The USA Speedway Rules committee will be meeting Saturday January 12th in
Pasadena, California. We picked this weekend so our committee members that will
be traveling to the upcoming USA Speedway Awards BBQ on Sunday afternoon and
will be able to attend both events.
The very important committee will be meeting for the second time since its
inception in early 2006. Almost all members are rider elected representatives
and carry an extreme and vast knowledge of the sport of track racing.
Committee Members that have confirm are:
Tommy Hedden, USA Speedway Competition Member
Dwayne Yarrow, Support Member
Gary Gomez, Support Member
Joe Jones, Competition Member
Richard Child, Founding Member
George Rich, Honoree Member
David Joiner, will chair the committee and not have a vote in regards to the
dissensions of the rules making process. My purpose is to only help in
organizing the work and the rule book. Each committee member is committed
and will be working very hard to achieve a balanced and effective rule
book. As a promoter, this will be a breath of fresh air! We will now have a
rule book that every member can read, understand and frankly have in his back
pocket.
We will be printing the rule book with some revisions and it will become the
2008-2009 Rules that will governing USA Speedways through out America. Be sure
that if you have any concerns over USA Speedway rules that you contact you’re
elected members or myself ASAP!
2008 will be an exciting year for USA Speedway and its members. Of course, our
first mission for the new year is the up coming USA Speedway Awards BBQ this
Sunday. It's free and many will be receiving awards. Fast Fridays Motorcycle
Speedway, Costa Mesa Speedway, Industry Speedway, Victorville Speedway and
Perkins Enterprise all have plans to present awards from each promotion.
USA Speedway will be hoisting the flag for 2008 with a whole new package that
will be attractive and a whole lot of fun for everybody.
