04-28-2008 From Jeffrey Immediato We have tried, tried and tried again to get you guys some practice time at the Grand. As of this posting MONDAY 7:45 PM we have 7 people signed up for Practice. Please you guys, try to understand we are trying to build Speedway up again and it would be foolish to lose a couple of thousand dollars right before the season. We didn't mind losing it the last practice, but there will not be a second time. So...I will be forced to cancel practice tomorrow morning at 6:00 AM if we don't have the minimum of riders signing up. We were doing this because we thought you guys needed a safe and race ready track to practice on, but it is obvious by the response that you do not or it's like some are saying to us today....that people will show up, it's that they just didn't tell us. Well...you have to tell us, or it's cancelled. It is that simple. It takes a full two days to set up the crash wall, starting gate and to have the proper time to prepare a safe track that holds and has more than a follow the leader race line. We delivered on the last practice but a turnout of 22 riders just doesn't come close to the costs to prepare it for you and practice. I have been asked to POST this so everyone understands the situation. You can leave your name, division and especially your phone number on a recorded message 24 hours a day at 949 640-0455 but it is best to email at jeff@industryspeedway.com WE WILL CALL EVERYONE (all 7 of you that have signed up so far and anyone else you reserves) of the outcome of the response to this. My suggestion, if you want to practice, is call, email or do whatever you need to do to contact your friends that may have not bothered to call us....we have no way of knowing that YOU INTEND TO SHOW UP unless you contact us. We do not even have everyones phone numbers or emails yet...another reason to introduce yourselves by email, messages or the good old fashion way of saying hello at a Practice. That was a hint "EMAIL US YOUR INFO PLEASE !!!" I STRONGLY URGE YOU TO CALL/EMAIL IF YOU WISH PRACTICE TO HAPPEN on this Wednesday.....that's less than 48 hours away.
